The 2013 North American Youth Chess Championship is taking place in Toronto, August 14-18. It is a high-stake 9 round swiss tournament because of the 26 FIDE titles awarded to the winners. Players are split in age categories, but they are allowed to play up, and all the best players are competing for the IM title awarded to the U18 winners. The top section looks ridiculously strong, with 18 players over 2200 (see players).
